I wanted to share here a brief exercise in this video on developing personal characteristics – one or more that we may feel we’re lacking in, and we’d like to enhance in ourselves. It’s borrowed from the excellent Tatiana Bachkirova, a renowned Professor of Coaching Psychology.
These personal characteristics may include ‘confidence, sociability, decisiveness, being calm, considered, being purposeful’, amongst many more.
It re-affirms to me how we do have it within ourselves to change and grow if we are minded and have the motivation to do so. The exercise requires us to bring to mind a time when we have demonstrated these desired characteristics, which can in itself boost our self-belief and encourage us.
