1-1 Coaching

I’m keen to help you develop the skills and strategies we need to effectively deal with the stresses and strains that the modern world/we ourselves can bring, and especially during times of change and uncertainty. We’ll take a practical, problem-solving and development-focused approach to help you to make the changes you deem necessary/overcome the difficulties you’re experiencing, with a plan on how to deal with, work through and learn from your current situation.


I believe that we all have it within ourselves to discover/re-discover how to be resourceful and resilient, and live our best lives. Life gets in the way sometimes, and we can get in our own way too, thinking and behaving in unhelpful ways, and experiencing unpleasant emotions that prevent us getting on with our lives, and being who we are/want to be. This approach ties in well with the essence of coaching, which is based on the principle that our well-being is down to ourselves, and we are responsible for it. This is a positive concept in that it means that we have the means, the power and the influence to change our situations if we can work out how to do so. It may also be that we’ll look to build on your strengths – your character strengths – as a way of enhancing your wellbeing, and getting back on track.

Coaching sessions take place face-to-face at my offices in Reading, Berkshire, or Guildford, Surrey or remotely, via Zoom.

Please note that I also provide ‘Walking and Talking Coaching’, where if you live locally to Reading or Guildford, we’ll meet and speak in confidence outdoors. Let me know if you’d like to give that a try? Others have, and have found it helpful.

I have been training and developing people for over 35 years through roles in workplace counselling, stress management, coaching, training and teaching. My interest is in supporting you in order that you can make the most of yourself and situations in your personal life and professional life.
