Conducted over 6 sessions – via Zoom or face-to-face – the programme provides you with the skills and strategies required to prevent stress, manage your emotions and be resilient. It’s for anyone who is interested in learning more about the specific areas of, and relationship between, stress, emotions and resilience, how it relates to you, and how we can best deal with and manage stress, understand our emotions, and have a resilient mindset.
You will take away the tools and techniques we can practice and put in place to support and encourage a helpful mindset, attitudes and behaviours. We will then as a result be more able to remain calm, self-assured and resourceful during the good and not-so-good times. Our ultimate aim is to prevent challenge becoming adversity; to develop resilience skills in order to cope and deal well with uncertain times and adversity; to make the most of ourselves and situations and survive and thrive.
The interactive and participative programme builds each week on learning/activities from previous weeks – from dealing with stress to managing emotions to resilience – with action planning as a central focus: how we can and will implement learning in our personal and professional lives.
Each 1-1 session follows a similar format, with the following sequence:
Input from me on stress/preventing stress; emotions/managing emotions; resilience/resilience-building (see below)
Input from you with your experience, understanding and view on the foregoing
Discussion and questions from both sides
Goal-setting/action planning (we’ll agree, review and revise and check on progress with goals/the action plan over the period)
The emphasis, including the time spent on each topic will be mutually agreed, but led by you, and your preference. The programme thus provides you with an opportunity to explore, develop and work on your specific learning needs and area of interest.
